Mission

Youth As Resources supports youth leadership in Springfield and Clark County by offering grants for youth-directed service projects.

Goals

YAR supports service learning as a means to foster the social and academic growth of young people.  It provides financial support to service-learning projects meeting community needs in three areas:

• Neghborhood beautification, restorations and youth development
• International Baccalaureate Program
• High School Consolidation

Materials available for youth:

Funding is available for well-thought-out service learning projects that identify, relect and act upon a strong community need.

Grant packets are available upon request.

YAR provides assistance to youth and adult leaders in considering how to incorporate service learning into their organizations's goals and activities.
