Grants
The Springfield Foundation is a public charitable organization created by citizens of our community to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in our service area. The Foundation serves Clark County, Ohio, by providing grants to nonprofit organizations on behalf of our donors. We distribute funds from unrestricted and restricted funds to help meet current community needs and to support a variety of programs in the fields of Arts & Culture, Civic Affairs, Conservation & Environment, Education, Health, and Human Services.
2010 Grant Distributions
The Springfield Foundation approved grants to the community totalling $1,976,523.
Distributions to non-profit organizations were made from the following fund categories:
Agency Endowment Funds: $547,579
Designated Funds: $329,401
Donor Advised Funds and Charitable Checking Accounts: $596,793
Discretionary Funds: $502,750 (see below)
Discretionary grants were awarded in the following areas and a result of the Foundation’s competitive grant process for discretionary funding (click here for full listing):
