The Springfield Foundation is committed to building a strong community through its grants program. The regular discretionary program awards grants once annually on a competitive basis to a variety of nonprofit organizations that strive to address community problems in Clark County. In most cases, discretionary grants fall in the $5,000 - $15,000 range.

Who Is Eligible?

To be considered for a discretionary grant, an organization must:

• serve the residents of Clark County,
• be exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
• have paid or volunteer staff, choose a governing board and provide services without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex, age or national origin.

Out-of-Cycle (Emergency) Grant Requests

Under certain circumstances, and pending available funding, the Foundation is willing to review out-of-cycle, emergency grant proposals. To be considered, organizations must first contact the Foundation’s Program Officer to receive information for the submission of a proposal.
