FOUNDATIONS PARTNER TO SUPPORT ORCHESTRA

The Springfield Symphony Foundation and the Springfield Foundation have teamed up to support the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.  To date, the Springfield Symphony Foundation has managed several endowments established by individuals and families from Clark County for the benefit of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.  Recently, four (4) endowments previously held by the Springfield Symphony Foundation have been placed in the care of the Springfield Foundation.  After thoughtful consideration, the Springfield Symphony Foundation’s Board has entrusted the Springfield Foundation with the management of these endowments. In total, these endowments exceed $2.1 Million value and provide nearly $80,000 in support to the Symphony Orchestra. 

“Partnering with the Springfield Foundation for the administration of our organization’s endowments provides us with the level of professional expertise critical to stewarding these gifts and seeing that they grow over time,” said Mark Robertson, President of the Springfield Symphony Foundation. “This partnership will aid in the Symphony Foundation and Symphony Orchestra’s development efforts and will significantly increase the visibility and awareness of the Symphony Foundation” added Robertson.

The Springfield Symphony Foundation was established in 1968 to raise and manage money for the support of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.

The Springfield Foundation is a Community Foundation founded in 1948 to meet human needs and improve the quality of life in Springfield and Clark County. The Foundation has managed endowment funds for the benefit of Clark County for 60 years.
