Youth As Resources (YAR) supports youth leadership in Springfield and Clark County by offering grants for youth-directed service projects.

YAR supports service learning as a means to foster the social and academic growth of young people. It provides financial support to service-learning projects meeting community needs in three areas:

» Neighborhood Beautification, Restorations and Youth Development
» International Baccalaureate Program
» High School Consolidation

Funding is available for well-thought-out service learning projects that identify, reflect and act upon a strong community need.

Grant packets are available upon request.

YAR provides assistance to youth and adult leaders in considering how to incorporate service learning into their organizations's goals and activities.
