Champaign Community Foundation

CCF is partnering with the Georgine E. Bates Memorial Fund to enhance philanthropic impact throughout Champaign County. Following the 2026 individual cycle, this partnership will establish a mutual grant review process in 2027, comprised of CCF Board members and Bates Fund Trustees, to evaluate applications and make funding recommendations.

This fund honors the memory of Georgine Bates, whose life was rooted in faith, community, and service. It currently awards approximately $75,000 in grants annually to support charitable causes in Champaign County.

2026 CYCLE IS OPEN NOW AND CLOSES FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16

Building a Brighter Future, Together

About Us

An affiliate of the Springfield Foundation, the Champaign Community Foundation (CCF) exists to strengthen our community by listening to local needs and directing resources where they matter most.

When you give, you’re not just supporting grants to programs – you’re investing in brighter futures for our neighbors, from families in crisis, to students, seniors, and beyond.

Guided by a spirit of service and collaboration, we work alongside our community in Champaign County to create meaningful, lasting change.

Donations

We accept gifts of various sizes and types from private citizens, local corporations, other foundations, and government agencies. Nearly every type of gift, real estate, closely held stock, artwork, and insurance, can be contributed.

We invite you to be part of that commitment. Your support, whether as a donor, volunteer, or advocate, helps us respond to the needs we hear and create the change we all hope to see.

To make a donation to the Champaign Community Foundation endowment fund, click the link below and fill in the Purpose/Endowment Fund field with "Champaign Community Foundation" or "CCF".

Your generosity doesn’t just make a difference – it builds a better Champaign County today, tomorrow, and for generations to come!

Putting Your Support to Work

The Champaign Community Foundation endowment fund is invested and generates income that is used to provide support to nonprofit organizations in our community.

Grants are made on behalf of our donors, at the suggestion of our Board of Advisors. Acting as a conduit, we bring together individuals who wish to support organizations providing services to our community.

Our Work

Our mission is rooted in the values of service, collaboration, and impact.

As one board member shared, “I have been looking for an opportunity to become involved in an organization whose mission was service-minded. Serving on the Foundation gives me an opportunity to give back to the community that has provided me with multiple opportunities in both my personal and professional life.”

That spirit, of gratitude and responsibility, is the foundation of our work.
