2025-2026 Scholarship Cycle Recap and Dedicated Reader Spotlight

This past winter, the Springfield Foundation led 12 scholarship workshops at different schools across Clark County to provide information on our '25-'26 scholarship cycle and real-time help with applications. Over 250 students attended one of these workshops! We are very grateful to each school that hosted us.

After having 36 volunteer scholarship readers, the Scholarship Committee is proudly awarding over $840,000 from 150 different scholarships after receiving a total of 549 applications.

The Foundation would like to spotlight one dedicated scholarship reader, Mary Miller, who has been volunteering her time over the past 27 years to read over 7,000 scholarship applications!! Mary is a Springfield High School graduate of 1955 and a Lake Erie College graduate of 1959, where she majored in three foreign languages: French, Italian, and Spanish. She went on to teach French at a school in Westtown, PA and then back in Springfield, OH. She has traveled extensively throughout her life in England, France, Italy, and Spain. Mary is also involved in a variety of facets in our community including the Clark County Historical Society, Champaign County Quilters, Young Women’s Mission, and more! We are very grateful for Mary’s commitment to our community and being a vital part of the  Foundation’s scholarship process.

The Springfield Foundation is looking forward to continuing to provide numerous scholarships to help students in our community.
