Investing in our Community: The Springfield Foundation’s 2025 Impact

2025, like many years in philanthropy, held both challenges and celebrations—but through it all, the Springfield Foundation remained focused on one thing: impact.

In March, we proudly awarded over $840,000, a $71,000 increase, in 410 different scholarships to 323 students after receiving a total of 549 applications. Those students are future nurses, teachers, engineers, tradespeople, and community leaders who now have greater access to opportunity and less financial burden standing in their way.

Over the summer, we received 103 grant applications for our annual competitive grant cycle. 96 of those proposals were funded either fully or partially for a total of $926,908.49! The second grant for the Foundation’s 75th anniversary initiative was also awarded as part of the commitment to grant $75,000 each year for five years to the Rocking Horse Community Health Center’s School Based Health Center at Springfield High School. These grants support everything from health and human services to education, the arts, and community development—turning donor generosity into tangible, on-the-ground results.

28 new funds were established in 2025 by donors who chose to create lasting legacies for the causes they care about most. We received over $6 million in charitable gifts, strengthening the permanent endowments that will support Clark County not just today, but for generations to come. Donors contributed nearly $55,000 to the Partners in Philanthropy campaign, supporting our mission and vital work.

Springfield Foundation board and staff also completed over 300 hours of community service throughout Clark County, furthering our commitment to hands-on service.

The Springfield Foundation is looking forward to continuing our mission to raise, strengthen, and distribute permanent charitable funds to benefit Clark County and the region in 2026. Each scholarship awarded, each grant distributed, and each fund established reflects a shared belief in this community’s potential. Together with our donors, partners, and nonprofits, we will continue to amplify the good—turning generosity into lasting impact.
